CONGRATULATIONS REBECCA! YOU DID IT!
Rebecca reached her goal and raised more money for Easter Seals this year, than
any other year. Rebecca was the 2nd highest fundraiser, raising exactly
$8000.
In 4 years of fundraising for this event, Rebecca has raised over $22,000 for Easter Seals. As Rebecca says
"That is Awesome".
A Special Thank You to each and every one of you who donated and supported Rebecca on her skate.
Rebecca thanks you from the bottom of her heart and she could not have done it without you.
Rebecca was interviewed by Global TV News at the skate. To see the video story and see clips of Rebecca,

About Rebecca:
Anyone who knows Rebecca, knows what a caring little girl she is. She wants to try to help other children who
have disabilities similar to hers. It's been 2 years since Rebecca participated in this skating event.
2 years ago, Rebecca was the top individual fundraiser and in 3 years of fund raising for this event, Rebecca raised over
$14,000 for Easter Seals, thanks to your generous donations. That is quite an accomplishment for a child Rebecca's age.
This year's video, The Climb, shows that having a disability should not stop you from trying to experience as much as possible. It takes
a lot of determination, but the end result is worth the hard work and effort involved.
Please tell your family and friends about this website and our video. There may be others who wish to support Rebecca on her Easter Seals skate.
Facts About Rebecca's Equipment Costs:
Did you know Rebecca's power wheelchair cost over $16,000, her manual wheelchair, $5000,
her walker $6500, an elevator lift for our home $30,000 and a bath lift $1000?
All this is much needed equipment to help Rebecca with her daily routine.
Easter Seals helped fund some of the costs for Rebecca's manual wheelchair and we will
continue to use Easter Seals to help purchase much needed equipment for Rebecca. Every year, as Rebecca grows and her needs change,
we need to purchase new equipment for her.
Easter Seals does not have the restrictions other organizations do; they do not care if equipment is partially funded by the
government or what your income is. Their only concern is having enough money to go around.
That is where you can help.
Please consider helping children with physical disabilities, like Rebecca, by sponsoring her in this year's Toronto Maple Leafs Skate
for Easter Seals Kids event.

Other Things To Enjoy:
Rebecca was on the front page of the
Toronto Star on
Monday January 29, 2007, pictured with Bryan McCabe, after the 2007 Easter Seals Skate event. (But they reported the wrong
amount of money raised by Rebecca. She actually raised $6000.)
